Bampton is a small hamlet set in the Lowther
Valley, which leads to the high mountain ranges around Haweswater,
home to Englands only Golden Eagle (www.rspb.co.uk). The scenery
is magnificant, ranging from pastoral valley to rugged fell land.
There are many great walks from the door,
both level and steep, including High Street.
Haweswater is only 2 miles away, being one of the most peacefull lakes and a reservoir for Manchester.
