Bampton is a small hamlet set in the Lowther Valley, which leads to the high mountain ranges around Haweswater, home to Englands only Golden Eagle ( The scenery is magnificant, ranging from pastoral valley to rugged fell land.

There are many great walks from the door, both level and steep, including High Street.

Haweswater is only 2 miles away, being one of the most peacefull lakes and a reservoir for Manchester.
